  3.          Aligning the Instrument

  5. Next look through the eyepiece 
  6. and sweep the instrument side 
  7. to side to find the reflection of 
  8. the mires from the cornea and 
  9. to horizontally align the 
  10. instrument.  The proper 
  11. alignment is when the crosshair 
  12. is in the center of the 
  13. lower-right (center) circle.  To 
  14. achieve the proper vertical 
  15. alignment, use the controls 
  16. described on the previous screen.

  18. When this alignment is achieved, 
  19. lock the instrument so it will not move up or down or from side to side (lock knob on left side).

  21. The movie shows aligning the instrument to take a measurement as previously described as well as showing how to rotate it for axis.
